Tokio Marine Group was founded in 1879 as the first insurance company in Japan. Since the foundation, our group purpose “To protect our customers and society in times of need” has guided and driven our business. We have steadily expanded our operation through core insurance business. Today, over 50,000 employees in more than 40 countries are united in the pursuit of our purpose.

Tokio Marine Egypt General Takaful was originally established in 2008 as joint venture as one of Takaful companies in Egypt, and then it was acquired 100% by Tokio Marine Group in 2013. Since establishment, we have been committed to represent our group purpose here in Egypt.

As a basic philosophy of Tokio Marine Group and also as per our company vision, customer trust is the foundation of all our activities. For customer trust, it is essential to steadily deliver good quality of service to our valuable customers. We aim to support customers and local communities facing difficulties, continually addressing the evolving social issues through our core insurance business.
