Public Liability

A public liability policy covers an organisation’s legal liability for third party injury or property damage due to negligence arising from its business operations.

Cover Provided

The participant is covered in respect of all sums they are legally liable to pay as damages and claimant’s costs and expenses arising from accidental bodily injury and/or property damage occurring during the period of cover in connection with the business within the geographical limits.

Usual Exclusions

This policy will NOT cover the following:

• War, invasion act of foreign enemy, hostilities, civil war, revolution, terrorism…etc.
• Advice and professional negligence (a professional indemnity policy is recommended for this)
• Liability towards employees (covered by Employers Liability policy)
• Claims arising from the use of asbestos or asbestos containing materials
• Liability assumed by contract (unless liability would have arisen anyway in the absence of the contract)
• Defective workmanship
• Fines, penalties, liquidated damages, punitive or exemplary damages
• Offshore work
• Pollution (unless caused by sudden, identifiable, unintended and unexpected causes)
• Products liability
• Toxic mold
• Nuclear or radioactive exposure
