Money Coverage

Sometimes known as Cash in Safe and Cash in Transit Cover.

Cover Provided

Loss of money plus any damage to safe, strongroom, container or waistcoat due to theft or attempted theft whilst in premises, in safes, in transit

Money includes

Cash, cheques , travelers cheques, bankers drafts, postal orders, postage stamps, stamps, bills of exchange, travel tickets, phone cards, and charge cards.

Usual Exclusions

This policy will NOT cover losses:

  1. Due to war, invasion act of foreign enemy, hostilities, civil war, revolution, terrorism…etc
  2. Resulting from fraudulent or uncollectable payments
  3. By employee dishonesty/fraud (unless discovered within 7 days)
  4. From fraudulent use of a computer or electronic transfer
  5. From fraudulent use of credit or charge cards
  6. From safe/strongroom where key has been left on the premises overnight
  7. Shortage due to errors or omissions
  8. Consequential loss of any kind
  9. From unattended vehicles

Information Requirements

  • Maximum limit for any one carrying
  • Estimated annual carryings
  • Maximum limit to be kept in specific safes/strong room
  • Details of any safes/strong rooms (including manufacturer, model, weight, dimensions)
